From Naila in Bavaria, Germany, where I grew up, I went to Nuremberg after leaving school. There I studied business for education with English and Protestant theology. I was particularly interested in the subject of psychology, in which I also wrote my dissertation. After my traineeship, I remained loyal to the city of Nuremberg, which enabled me to pursue a career as a lecturer and supervisor for foreign languages at  vocational colleges.

Astrology was a strange superstition for me until I was 30 years old. Then a written horoscope interpretation shook up my previous view of the world in a beneficial way and broadened my horizons. Since then, the individual horoscope - an image of the sky at the place and time of birth - has been my first choice when I want to find out what makes a person tick, what their particular needs and sensitivities are, what makes them ill and what they draw strength from. In this context, I also found it very relieving that I no longer had to justify my supposed inconsistencies and "quirks", because they were exactly as they appeared in my horoscope

Like most astrology newbies, I devoured all the available books and developed an enormous missionary zeal, with which I delighted my circle of friends. Anyone who wasn't fast enough to escape was given a horoscope analysis! The computer, with which I had been a stranger until the early 1990s, became an important tool, which also benefited my main job as a lecturer.

It would probably have remained a nice hobby if an astrologer hadn't come into my life whose books I was already most enthusiastic about at the time:
Michael Roscher, who even lived in Nuremberg at the time and taught at his school for Transpersonal Astrology (TPA). I quickly realised that I would train to become a professional astrologer. And almost as quickly I had the idea of writing and programming a written horoscope interpretation based on the cybernetic interpretation model developed by Michael. And so I worked on this project for several years until the publication of the astrological character analysis "Cross Connections" in 1998, which could be called up at any time for any horoscope. And then came the next project: as a newcomer, it was a special honour for me to write The Book of House Rulers together with Michael Roscher in 2000. My programming zeal flared up again, and so in 2004 the cross-connections got a sister, a transit annual forecast. Michael died far too early in the summer of 2005, but interest in his life's work remains undiminished.

In the years that followed, I held evening courses in Nuremberg and was a guest lecturer for Brigitte Hamann and Christopher Weidner, who are also part of the tradition of transpersonal astrology and continue to develop it. My book Critical Degrees in Practice was published by Astronova in 2008 on my areas of specialisation, Michael's "Critical Degrees" and birth time correction.

Despite my fascination with the methods of transpersonal astrology, I had the feeling relatively early on that something important was missing in my consultations. When it came to very specific decisions, my clients expected more support from me. With the help of psychological astrology, I could say something about their personality and their current time quality, but not, for example, whether someone would be better off staying in their old job or accepting a new job offer.

That's why I began to familiarise myself with classical horary astrology,
probably the oldest form of astrology. I also approached this with scepticism and caution at first. Why should a horoscope, of all things, provide information about the possible answer at the time someone asks a question? What if I'm wrong? Contrary to my initial fears, I received positive feedback from clients after the vast majority of horary astrological consultations.

To avoid misunderstandings, I always emphasise that I am not a clairvoyant, but that I work out an astrological report to the best of my knowledge and belief. Its conclusions can be incorporated into the decision-making process, and the interpretation of the horoscope often consolidates insights that were already there anyway.

There is also a lot of literature on horary astrology with sometimes contradictory rules and instructions. That's why it was very important for me to learn from a successful horary astrologer who has decades of practical experience in both interpretation and counselling. I found such a person in
Emil Schmidt in 2021 and completed his training as a horary astrologer. We are still in contact, which I find very enriching.

My latest project was AiSTROLOGY, an in-deep birth chart interpretation in English, which tells an exciting story about the horoscope owner. I'm really grateful that astrology came into my life...
